What we do?

YOUNG WORLD EDUCARE NPO

Young World Educare

is about awareness education and we make it a worldwide effort to benefit groups of people living in adversity and oppression. Our long term goal has always been to bring social change by creating awareness campaigns that will alter public perception and encourage action from important role players, including Government & NGO's, the private sector, national and international institutes, clinicians and research experts in the field.

HARTSHUIS

Accommodation in retirement has become an enormous issue in South Africa - and it is getting worse. SASSA pensioners are looking for alternative options such as a communal home, sharing the cost of living and a 24hour care giver. The Hartshuis provide support  to elderly & disabled persons, including mentally ill persons.  We provide 3 meals per day, medical care, accomodation, assisted living & support services. Illness support and care include:  Altzheimers, Asthma, Bipolar, Cancer, COPD, Dementia, Diabetes, Heart conditions, HIV/AIDS, Kidney disease, stroke, Schizophrenia, Terminally ill.

VOLUNTEERS

International and local Volunteers help with  meals and care for residents with physical disabilities and varying levels of mobility dependency Including mental disabilities. There are so many ways to support our mission and ways to create awareness.  Together, we can make a difference.  Take action, contribute in any way you can because this is an opportunity to bring hope to so many and an effort to prevent harm.

There is hope

Young World Educare: Our Advocacy and awareness programs are created on community level and supported by small businesses, corporations, individuals, schools, farms, NPO organizations & old age homes. We aim to reduce stigma and encourage the acceptance of all people suffering from mental illness and support those seeking psychiatric help. By promoting care we prevent loneliness and suicide.

Every human is valuable.  Every life is precious.

Mental Health

EVERYONE knows SOMEONE with a mental illness.   Join the Crazy Hat movement. It's a good cause and an excellent opportunity to make a difference, promote mental health and change public perception.

This is an invitation to mental health care providers, professional organizations, universities, social entrepreneurs, psychiatric hospitals, care homes and mental health users and their families to lift the mask on mental illness. Join the crazy hat movement, let's create awareness and support mental health research and encourage better mental health care in South Africa. Awareness can be a first step toward changing behavior; it could help shift cultural norms, it will change lives, bring positive energy and create a better future.
